Victoria BC! Bed and Breakfasts! Something for everyone.

Victoria BC Bed and Breakfast - Vancouver Island, BC Canada

Cordova Bay Bed and Breakfast Association

Victoria BC has a diverse range of appealing attractions and activities so it naturally draws a wide range of visitors who can choose from an equally diverse range of accommodation. Bed and breakfasts rank high among Victoria's choicest lodging, with emphasis on choice. There’s something for everyone to do and a Victoria bed and breakfast to suit all tastes and budgets.

This tiny part of BC on southern Vancouver Island is a microcosm of British Columiba,  including ocean beaches, pretty lakes, rainforest parks and mountain vistas. There are first-rate attractions, such as the Butchart Gardens, the Royal BC Museum, Craigdarroch Castle and the Inner Harbour. And many visitors are attracted here by the many outdoor opportunities, such as whale-watching, kayaking, sailing, fishing, golf, biking and hiking. There are 48 regional, provincial and federal parks in the Greater Victoria region.

A moderate Mediterranean climate makes Victoria BC a year-round vacation destination. There is substantially less rain than either Vancouver or Seattle. Summers are pleasantly hot and winters surprisingly mild; so mild, in fact, that a flower count, staged each year by the local chamber of commerce to rub our mild winter in the face of other colder parts of Canada, counts billions of blossoms in late February. The relaxed lifestyle and safe environment also make Victoria a top world travel destination.

As well as a broad selection of hotels, resorts, motels, vacation rentals, campgrounds and RV parks, there are hundreds of Victoria BC bed and breakfasts. B&Bs are a delightful alternative to commercial accommodation: in our association alone, you can choose from a heritage home, waterfront guest house, country manor house, lakeside lodging, elegant inn, country cottage, a farm or a woodland retreat. Some are in peaceful country settings near the Butchart Gardens, others in Cordova Bay, a small community just 20 minutes from downtown Victoria, the ferries and the airport. All include a full breakfast and highly competitive rates.

There is much to do and see close by Greater Victoria BC bed and breakfasts. Attractions include the Horticulture Centre of The Pacific and the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory/Centre of the Universe, Saanich Commonwealth Place, a swimming and recreational centre of Olympic standards, is minutes from all our B&Bs. Elk/Beaver Lake Regional Park is popular for swimming, rowing, windsurfing, fishing, walking and horseback riding. Nearby you can stroll on an ocean beach or hike through woodland and lakeside trails, tour wild marine parks, visit wineries and sample BC wines, or snack on local fruit at roadside stands.

B&B hosts are a great resource for local information - the real skinny - on what to do and see in Victoria and on Vancouver Island. Our B&B hosts will gladly provide local insight into all attractions and activities. The hospitality goes well beyond a bed and a breakfast; hosts pass on travel tips, restaurant recommendations and local secrets to make the most of your visit to Victoria. It's the special bonus of choosing a Victoria BC bed and breakfast.
